Después de fines de semana muy guays en las profundidades de la vida noctura de Madrid- explorando los bares locales, disfrutando de música en vivo, bailando a Spice Girls, bebiendo muchas cañas y vinos, hablando y llegando a conocernos unos a otros, aprendiendo dolorosas (pero valiosas) lecciones sobre la falta de baños públicos en Madrid, aunque, precios bastante baratos de taxi (que serán útiles en algunos momentos), conociendo muchos madrileños muy amables (y un poco borrachos), caminando barrio tras barrio- decidimos pasar nuestra primera fiesta nacional en un mercado medieval de Alcalá de Henares. Fue nuestro primer viaje juntos y no perdimos a nadie! Bueno…. a Lisa..- pero sólo por un ratito!

After a busy weekend in the depths of Madrid’s nightlife- exploring the local bar scene, enjoying some live music, dancing to Spice Girls, drinking lots of cañas and wine, talking and getting to know each other better, learning painful (but valuable) lessons about Madrid’s lack of public toilets, yet relatively cheap taxi costs (which come in handy in times of trouble), meeting lots of drunk, yet very nice and helpful madrileños, walking through barrio after barrio- we decided to spend our first national holiday enjoying the medieval festival of Alcalá de Henares. It was our very first trip together and we didn’t lose anyone! Well, Lisa- but only for a short time 🙂
