Semana Santa

Esta Semana Santa tuve mi primer campamento con los niños a Cercedilla donde estuvimos 3 días.

Estuve con los más pequeños (6-8 años) y para ellos era la primera vez que tenían que pasar la noche sin sus padres.

Hicimos manualidades, jugamos, caminamos un poco por la montaña y leímos cuentos por la noche. Fue una experiencia muy divertida, pero cuando volví a casa estaba muy cansada, sobre todo porque fueron 3 días en los que no hablé más idioma que el español.

Después del campamiento tenía vacaciones, así que me fui a Valencia con Meike, otra voluntaria.

Aunque el tiempo no era perfecto, fuimos a la playa y también disfrutamos de la increíble gastronomía de la ciudad. También fuimos a la Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, que fue mi favorita de la ciudad.

Mientras estábamos allí, vimos una procesión de Semana Santa que también me pareció muy divertida y un poco extraña, ya que son muy diferentes a las de Portugal.

En general, disfruté mucho de mi Semana Santa porque me puse a prueba con el idioma y el campamento y también tuve el placer de visitar otra preciosa ciudad española.

This Semana Santa I had my first campamento with the children to Cercedilla where we stayed for 3 days.

I was with the younger children (6-8 years) and for them it was the first time they had to stay the night without their parents.

We did handcrafts, played games, hike a bit in the mountain and read tales in the night. It was a very funny experience, but when I returned home I was very tired, especially because it was 3 days in which I didn’t speak any other language than spanish.

After the campamento I had holidays, so I went to Valencia with Meike, another volunteer.

Although the weather wasn’t perfect, we went to the beach and also enjoyed the amazing gastronomy of the city. We also went to the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, which was my favorite in the city.

While we were there, we noticed a procession for Semana Santa which was also very funny and a bit odd to me, since they are very different from the ones in Portugal.

Overall, I really enjoyed my Semana Santa because I challenged myself with the language and the campamento and also had the pleasure to visit another lovely spanish city.
